Bentonite
according to its transliteration, is a hydrated clay mineral mainly composed of montmorillonite. Its official molecular formula is Nax (H2O) 4 (AI2-xMg0.83) Si4O10) (OH) 2, due to its special properties. For example, bentonite is used in various industrial fields due to its properties such as swelling, adhesion, adsorption, catalysis, thixotropy, suspension, and cation exchange.

Bentonite ore is a versatile mineral, and its quality and application mainly depend on the content and attribute type of montmorillonite, as well as its crystal chemical properties. Therefore, its development and utilization must vary from mine to mine and from function to function. The products processed by it have excellent process performance, such as dispersion, suspension, thixotropy, rheology, adsorption, plasticity, adhesion, cation exchange of bentonite, etc. They can be used as binders, suspension agents, thixotropy agents, plasticizers, thickeners, lubricants, flocculants, stabilizers, catalysts, purification and decolorization agents, clarifying agents, fillers, adsorbents, chemical carriers, etc. They are widely used in petroleum, metallurgy, chemical industry, casting, construction, plastics, rubber, coatings, light industry, etc.

1. Casting: molding sand adhesive. Use calcium or sodium based bentonite.
2. Metallurgy: Iron concentrate pellet binder. Use calcium or sodium based bentonite.
3. Drilling mud: Prepare a drilling mud suspension with high rheological and thixotropic properties, as well as a drilling release agent. Using calcium based and sodium based bentonite, organic bentonite.
