Product Description

Bentonite
According to its transliteration, bentonite is a hydrated clay mineral predominantly composed of montmorillonite. Its official molecular formula is Nax (H2O) 4 (AI2-xMg0.83) Si4O10) (OH) 2. Due to its unique properties like swelling, adhesion, adsorption, catalysis, thixotropy, suspension, and cation exchange, bentonite is utilized across various industrial sectors.

Bentonite Ore Bentonite ore is a remarkably versatile mineral. Its quality and application largely depend on the content and type of montmorillonite, as well as its crystal chemical properties. Thus, its development and utilization must be tailored according to specific mine attributes and intended functions. For instance, it is used for producing active clay, converting calcium-based to sodium-based bentonite, drilling grouting for petroleum, replacing starch in spinning, printing and dyeing slurries, as coatings for building materials, preparing organic bentonite, synthesizing 4A zeolite, and producing white carbon black, among many other applications.

Product Description:
Bentonite is a valuable and versatile non-metallic mineral, often referred to as 'universal clay.' The products processed from bentonite exhibit excellent performance characteristics such as dispersion, suspension, thixotropy, rheology, adsorption, plasticity, adhesion, and cation exchange. These properties make it suitable as binders, suspension agents, thixotropy agents, plasticizers, thickeners, lubricants, flocculants, stabilizers, catalysts, purification and decolorization agents, clarifying agents, fillers, adsorbents, and chemical carriers. Bentonite is extensively used in petroleum, metallurgy, chemical industries, casting, construction, plastics, rubber, coatings, and light industries.

The following are the principal uses of bentonite.
1. Casting: Acts as a molding sand adhesive. Calcium or sodium-based bentonite is used.
2. Metallurgy: Serves as an iron concentrate pellet binder. Calcium or sodium-based bentonite is employed.
3. Drilling Mud: Used to prepare a drilling mud suspension with high rheological and thixotropic properties, and as a drilling release agent. This application utilizes calcium-based, sodium-based, and organic bentonite.
4. Food Industry: Bentonite is used for decolorization and purification of animal and vegetable oils, clarification of wine and juice, stabilization and saccharification of beer, and purification of sugar juice. Activated clay or sodium-based bentonite is used.
5. Petroleum: Acts as a catalyst carrier for refining, waxing, decolorization, and purification of petroleum, fats, and kerosene. Active clay or calcium-based bentonite is used as stabilizers for asphalt surfaces and thickeners for lubricating oil. Lithium-based and organic bentonite are also applied.
6. Agriculture: Bentonite is used as soil amendments, additives for mixed fertilizers, feed additives, adhesives, and for animal enclosure soil (deodorizing and disinfecting). Various types of bentonite are used.
7. Chemical Industry: Bentonite serves as a carrier for catalysts, pesticides, and insecticides, fillers for rubber and plastic products, desiccants, filters, detergents, soap, toothpaste, and other daily necessities additives. It also acts as thixotropic thickeners for coatings and inks and anti-settling aids for paints and inks. Activated clay, sodium-based bentonite, lithium-based bentonite, and organic bentonite are used.
8. Industrial Construction: Bentonite is utilized for industrial wastewater treatment, purification of swimming pool water, treatment of food industry waste, adsorption treatment agents for radioactive waste, and soil and water conservation. It is also used for sand fixation using activated clay, sodium-based bentonite, or natural soil.
9. Architecture: Bentonite is applied as waterproof and anti-seepage materials, cement additives, concrete plasticizers, and other mixtures. Various types of bentonite are employed.
10. Paper Making: Discover the transformative power of our bentonite in the paper industry. It serves as a dyeing agent for carbon paper, pigment filler, active clay, and calcium-based bentonite, enhancing the quality and performance of your paper products.
11. Textile Printing and Dyeing: Elevate your textile processes with our versatile bentonite solutions. From filling, bleaching, and anti-static coating to replacing starch sizing and printing plastics, our activated clay and sodium-based bentonite ensure superior results and efficiency.
12. Ceramics: Enhance your ceramic creations with our premium bentonite, a vital plasticizer for ceramic raw materials. It significantly increases the compressive strength of ceramic embryos, ensuring durability and quality in your final products.
13. Medicine and Cosmetics: Our bentonite is the choice for excellence in medicinal and cosmetic formulations. It acts as a powerful adsorbent for drugs and an effective binder for ointments. As a base material, our calcium, lithium, and sodium-based bentonite underpin the quality and safety of top-tier cosmetics.
14. Mechanical: Experience unparalleled performance with our lithium-based bentonite, specially formulated for high-temperature lubricating oils. It ensures optimal lubrication and reliability in the most demanding mechanical applications.
